Awe Struck (No Pun Intended!)

Nothing really beats an honest first century sestertius. Domitian in numismatic circles is primarily known for his denarii, but he also struck some mighty fine bronzes, many of which are in superb style. I think my latest addition is just such a coin.

Well, sort of. This latest arrival is a thick, chunky bronze with quite a bit of heft to it, which I suppose in a pinch could serve as a hockey puck. The photo really shows off the concave flan shape which was a Rome mint trademark.
